The deadline for updating the object of activity in the Trade Registry according to NACE REV. 3 has been set

On March 20, 2025, the Government Decision no. 284 ( the"Government Decision") was adopted, which established the deadline by which professionals must update their object of activity in the Trade Registry, according to NACE Rev. 3 (updated version of the Classification of Activities in the National Economy, approved by Order of the President of the National Institute of Statistics no. 377/17.04.2024). According to the Government Decision, the update of the NACE codes will be carried out gradually with an implementation period of 18 months. This term runs from the publication date of the Government Decision in the Official Gazette, namely March 25, 2025. During the implementation period, both the updated and the previous versions of the NACE codes will be recognized and accepted in all interactions with public authorities and institutions. Both versions will also be valid and applicable in dealings with natural and legal persons. We recommend updating the NACE codes according to the new classification by the end of the 18-month implementation period. After this period, there is a risk that the previous version of the NACE codes will no longer be recognized in interactions with public authorities and institutions.
